We dogs love your hooman food! That’s why we are always watching you eat ! If you want to award us or just show us your love we recommend giving us your hooman food. Unfortunately, not all hooman food is safe for us so we made a list of the foods we can eat and that can actually be good for us!
Peanut Butter/Almond Butter: If you really want to show us you love us then give us peanut butter! This is a great source of protein and keeps us occupied! Furthermore, peanut butter contains heart healthy fats like niacin and vitamins B and E. Try to give us peanut butter that is low in sodium because this is better for us. Also, make sure you’re not giving us peanut butter that has xylitol or any other artificial sweeteners because this can be deadly for us. Avoid sugar-free and lite peanut butters because they often use xylitol.

Scrambled Eggs: We love scrambled eggs! This is a good source of protein for us too! Try not to use oil or butter. The eggs plain is good for us! You can use water to make sure the eggs don’t stick to the pan instead!

Carrots: Carrots are oh so yummy! This is a great healthy snack for us. If we eat too fast then you can even freeze the carrots and give them to us to slow us down. Carrots are good for our teeth. They’re also low calorie and high in fiber!

Cooked chicken: This is one of our absolute favorites! If mom makes chicken she sometimes gives us some by sprinkling it on top of our food or as a treat.

Cheese: We love cheese! If you are giving your dog cheese for the first time just monitor their reaction to make sure they aren’t lactose. Most dogs aren’t! Also Mom doesn’t recommend giving us too much cheese because it can upset our stomachs.

Pumpkin: Pumpkin is good for the GI tract and can help with digestion! Make sure to give us the pure unsweetened version.

Apples: We love apples and so does Mom so we often get apples as a healthy treat! Apples are a good source of fiber, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C. Don’t give us the seeds or core though!

Blueberries: Frozen or fresh! This is an easy summer treat! Blueberries are Luna’s favorite treat !

Watermelon: Yummy! Make sure it doesn’t contain the rind or seeds and we are good to go! Watermelon is a low calorie treat that is rich with vitamins, including vitamin A and C.
