I love using the crock-pot because it requires almost no work on my part. I just chop up some veggies and protein and throw it in a pot for the pups. This recipe is really healthy, tastes delicious, and is better for pups than commercial and processed food from a bag. Plus, I like knowing exactly what I’m feeding my dogs.
To start set crock-pot on high and set cook time to 4-5 hours. You can also set crock-pot on low and cook for 6-8 hours. Next, add chicken broth, water, and brown rice.
Chop up all of the veggies and add to the pot. Next add chicken breast or chicken thighs. You can mix the ingredients or leave it layered like this.
Cover pot. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Your dog will love this so much, he won’t be afraid of burning himself if it is too hot.
- 4-6 boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup of brown rice
- 1 sweet potato
- 3 large carrots
- 1/3 cup of broccoli
- 1/3 cup of cauliflower
