Poppy’s Pupizza

We absolutely love pupizza! It’s great for a birthday party or an outdoor BBQ. Our hoomans like to eat this as a healthy alternative to regular pizza and it just so happens that it is safe and good for us dogs too.

FOR THE DOUGH

  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon canola oil

FOR THE SAUCE

  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese (shredded)

FOR THE CRUST

  • 1/4 cup of broccoli florets

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Cut sweet potato into cubes and place in a microwave-safe bowl. Fill bowl with water up to top of sweet potato cubes and microwave for 5 minutes. Flip it over halfway through. In a blender or food processor, combine egg, oats, flour, canola oil, and sweet potato. Mix dough until well combined. Put flour on counter and spread dough until 1/4 inch thick. Shape into pizza shapes (either circles or triangles, whichever you prefer). Put in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, chop and put the red pepper in the food processor or blender until smooth. This is the pizza sauce. Set aside until pizza is done. Next, steam broccoli florets for 3-5 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes.

Take pizza out of oven and top with red pepper sauce and mozzarella cheese. Place back in the oven for 8 minutes.

After you take the pizzas out of the oven arrange broccoli along the edges so that it looks like raised crust.

Bark appétit!

Lots of love,

The Little Aussies
